Many camp directors have no significant college experience, never mind professional experience. Most instructors can't even properly perform the drills they are teaching. What message does that convey to your child?
A camp is only as good as the instructor's ability to recognize and then correct the problems the child is having. This is by far the most important aspect of a good school, and an element that most other camps are lacking.
The ability to communicate well with children is also very important. The teacher's explanations must be made in a clear, consice and age appropriate manner. As a parent you can understand how difficult this can be. The enthusiasm the instructor shows directly influences the players.
Peak Performance Power Hockey was designed to specifically address all the above criteria. The director, Ed Ronan, will always be on the ice with your child. His experiences and abilities to connect with children make him the perfect teacher. He helps your child build the foundation that will allow him or her to improve year after year. Sign your son/daughter up, and discover the Power Hockey difference. Your child will be glad you did.
Any individual can start a hockey camp just by copying other camps' drills. But all too often the drills are inappropriate (too difficult or too easy). Many times kids are standing around in line waiting waiting Too much waiting - not enough motion.
Is the instructor someone you want as a role model for your child? Does your chld look up to and respect the instructor? If yes, your child will undoubtedly listen more intently and work harder, resulting in greater improvments.
